Arbitration: is dispute resolution arising from an agreement or contract between parties. The parties choose one or more impartial persons to conduct a hearing at which both parties have an opportunity to present evidence and be heard. The parties may or may not agree in advance to abide by the arbitrator's decision. To be bound to rules of provincial arbitration usually means the parties will be bound by an arbitrator's decision.
