Ionic Array
Meaning of term ionic array
A formation of atoms held together by ionic bonds. Crystals of sodium chloride (salt), for example, does not form molecules. Rather, ions of sodium (Na) and chorine (Cl) are held together by ionic bonds in a three-dimensional ionic array.
