Definition of chromakey

 

A method of electronically inserting an image from one camera or picture source into the picture produced by another camera e.g. graphics behind the news presenters. The subject is shot in front of a primary colour background, usually blue, and the colour is electronically replaced by the inserted image. OR The electronic insertion of an image behind a presenter by using a primary colour background
