Definition of on-line edit

 

Editing in a suite equipped with multiple players, vision switching and DVE type equipment, also quality control equipment like Time Base correction, colour correction, etc. Usually from EDL information compiled off-line and incorporating all special effects, supers and possibly graphics. May include audio mixing equipment
