Meaning of caffeine :
Caffeine: The drug contained in coffee. A bitter white alkaloid contained in coffee and tea that is used in medicine to stimulate the central nervous system and, in the right amounts, causes adrenaline to be released. Caffeine can enhance heart function, and is said to help with intellect. Too much caffeine can over-stimulate and cause discomfort. If addicted to caffeine a headache could result from withdrawal or lack thereof. The darker the roast, the less caffeine - the caffeine burns off during the roasting process.
For the term caffeine may also exist other definitions and meanings, the meaning and definition indicated above are indicative not be used for medical and legal or special purposes.
